I Harvest the Results

This careful cultivation matures into profound understanding and sharpened skills. Your child achieves a level of mastery that makes them stand out, ready to excel at the next level.

I Present a College-Ready Scholar

The journey culminates in a student fully prepared for college success. This is the final product of my work: a confident, capable individual, ready to thrive. It is a testament to a journey we take together.

Gregorio Midero: Violinist, Educator, and Musician

Gregorio Midero is a Venezuelan-born violinist, violist, and dedicated music educator based in North Carolina. A product of Venezuela’s renowned El Sistema program, he began his violin studies at age eight. His exceptional talent was evident early on, leading to a solo debut at the Teresa Carreño Center at just ten years old, performing a Vivaldi concerto for an audience that included El Sistema’s founder, José Antonio Abreu.

By age 17, Midero had earned the position of First Violin with the Orquesta Sinfónica Municipal de Caracas, a role he held until 2000. That year, seeking a democratic future for his family, he immigrated to the United States.

For over two decades, Midero has been a pillar of North Carolina’s classical music scene. He is a longstanding member of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra violin section, currently holding the Sally London Hobbs Memorial Chair through 2025. He previously served for several years as the Associate Principal Second Violin with the Winston-Salem Symphony. A versatile musician, he also performs proficiently on the viola.

Midero’s performance career is marked by its breadth and excellence. He has shared the stage with a diverse array of artists, from classical icon Yo-Yo Ma to pop legends Sting, Andrea Bocelli, and Stevie Wonder, as well as salsa superstar Oscar D’León. His chamber music work includes a recording of Beethoven’s “Spring Sonata” with pianist Federico Pivetta. With 18 professional performance credits across orchestral, choral, opera, and sacred genres, he brings the same dedication to symphony halls as he does to local weddings, private events, and church services.

Parallel to his performing career, Midero is a passionate and experienced teacher. Since arriving in the US, he has maintained a private studio, Deep River Violin Studio, and has provided coaching for sectionals in public and private schools, as well as the Greensboro and Winston-Salem Youth Orchestra programs. His teaching philosophy emphasizes realistic practice routines and physical preparation, making violin study both accessible and disciplined. He also previously conducted an ensemble within the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra program.

A proud father of two daughters and a U.S. citizen, Gregorio Midero is bilingual in English and Spanish. He finds inspiration in North Carolina’s natural beauty, which reminds him of his native Venezuela. Outside of music, he enjoys cycling, driving, and an active, healthy lifestyle, guided by the belief that the quality of our lives is shaped by our thoughts.

Mr. Midero is available for performances, recording sessions, and private lessons, which can be arranged through his website, miderostudio.com, or his profile on lessonface.com/instructor/gregorio-midero.

I’m passionate about helping you grow and make an impact.
