Student Achievements
Since 2001, students from my studio have advanced from their first lessons to section leaders and concertmasters in school and youth orchestras across the Piedmont Triad.
Many have earned positions in All-County and All-State Orchestras, and several have been accepted to the North Carolina Governor’s School for Music.
My students have also won honors in regional and state competitions, including the Peter Perret Youth Talent Search with the Winston-Salem Symphony, and concerto competitions with both the Greensboro and Winston-Salem Youth Symphonies.
These achievements reflect consistent practice, teamwork, and joy in music — never shortcuts.
Beyond Technique – The Soul of Music
Music study builds more than skill. It develops focus, discipline, and confidence that last a lifetime.
Students learn tone, intonation, rhythm, and interpretation — but also how to perform with heart and connect with any audience.
